There are several active
groups in our church and community:
Philoptochos: The women's auxiliary is the backbone
of the church, working invisibly in the background to ensure that
the church's needs are looked after, in addtion to charitable
outreach projects dedicated to the community at large.
Sunday School: Our Sunday school meets every
Sunday at 10:30 am downstairs in the community hall from September
to June. Our school ensures that our children will have sound
theological grounding and understanding of our Christian beliefs
and traditions.
Parish Council: The devoted members of the Parish
Council dedicate their time and abilities to the administrative
matters of the church, attending to the financial and programming
needs of the church.
Discussion Group: A new Orthodox
discussion group led by Father Demetrios will meet
the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.
at the community hall. These informal discussions, lasting roughly
an hour and a half, will cover a wide range of topics.

Despite the relatively small size of the Greek population in Calgary,
the Greek Community is extremely active and closely knit; for
