Discussion
Group- NEW!!
Next Meeting: Thursday, March 30th at 6:30 pm
A new Orthodox discussion
group led by Father Demetrios will meet
the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.
(with the exception
of the upcoming Thursday session being made
to accommodate Lenten schedule) at the community hall.
These informal discussions, lasting roughly an hour and a half,
will cover a wide range of topics, including the sacraments;
parenting and marriage in the Orthodox Church; the nature of worship;
religious traditions versus cultural traditions; etc.
Topics for specific dates are yet to be determined
but check back for a schedule soon.
These discussions are interactive
with an emphasis on addressing questions and concerns from attendees.
If you have specific questions or topics you would like to see
addressed in future discussions, there will be a question box
made available for submissions.
Refreshments are served and babysitting is available thanks to
the Ladies of Philoptohos.
Discussions are open to
both Orthodox Church members and their non-Orthodox partners,
with particular emphasis on topics of interest to newlyweds and
young parents and second and third-generation Greek Orthodox community
members.
